    World Sounds at Noon begins again with music from India and will continue on June 19th and 26th. There will be no programs on June 5th or 12th. The June 19th program will be from China and the June 26th program will be Anatolian Fusion from Turkey. Mark your calendars!

    Have you heard of our local First Thursdays? These monthly celebrations of the arts in downtown State College and on the Penn State campus follow a pattern adopted in a number of cities across America to devote one day a month to the arts. Our First Thursdays were started three years ago by the Friends of Schlow Library Board!  Katie O'Toole, program chair of the Friends of Schlow Library, brought together representatives of downtown businesses and Penn State and communty arts groups to create First Thursday State College.
