Title
ESL Discussion Circle
Please join Community Diversity Group (CDG) and Schlow Library volunteers for opportunities to practice your English and get to know your local community.
Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm, Schlow will host informal discussion circles to practice and develop your language skills in a safe and welcoming environment. We will start with introductions and practice how you would meet a neighbor or colleague for the first time. Follow-up sessions will include practicing common scenarios such as ordering at a cafe, going to the doctor, getting on the public bus, and more. We will also explore the many text, video, and audio resources the library has to offer as we talk about things of interest such as current events, hobbies, and more.
Your participation is welcomed whether you are just starting your language journey or you are further along and would like to help others practice.
- When: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 6:30pm-7:30pm
